Has someone recently convinced you to start watching anime? Or you saw a cool anime scene on social media and you're dying to watch more of where that came from. Well, look no further. This article presents you with the anime starter pack.

If you're new to anime and looking for recommendations, then these are anime series you can start with in no order.

1. One Punch Man

One punch man is known as a gag anime, where the main character- Saitama- is overpowered and can literally defeat anybody in the world with just one punch. Out of boredom he joins a hero academy to find a worthy foe to defeat. When watching this anime or any other anime, don't apply logic. Just go with the flow or you'll question why one year of constant workout is the reason why he's undefeatable.

2. Jujutsu Kaisen

This anime is arguably one of the best anime series of 2021. The main character- Itadori Yuji swallows a finger of the most powerful demon and now he has a demon living inside him. Also watch for Gojou Satoru (yes I'm a simp).

3. Death Note

Imagine stumbling across a notebook and automatically developing a god-like ability to kill anyone by just writing their names in the notebook, cool right?

Well, that's what our protagonist- Yagami Light- does when he stumbles upon the notebook. What went from a simple eradication of criminals turned into a full-on genocide. Grim the reaper could never!

4. Asobi Asobase

If you're into comedy, then this one is for you. I found myself muffling my noise with a pillow at 2am, because I was laughing uncontrollably and didn't want to wake my family.

Three girls come together to form a school club called asobi asobase. They do all sort of funny tactics and plays. There's no plot just laughs.

5. Boku no Hero Academia

This anime is set in a world where 80% of the population has quirks (superpowers). This anime revolves around the story of Izuku Midoriya- born with no quirk- and a dream of being a superhero one day. It's a really good anime series, but one advice, stay away from the fandom. If you know, you know.

6. Bungou stray dogs

Ah yes, one of my favorite animes (am I watching because I simp for Dazai Osamu? Maybe).

Bungou stray dogs features criminal organizations and individuals with super powers using it for good or evil. It also has a bit of comedy since one of our protagonists- Dazai- is very suicidal and will go at any length to kill himself even though it never works out.

7. Highschool DXD

This one might feel weird for you but nevertheless it's a good anime. It is of the ecchi genre, and it finds the main character going on a date with a girl only to find out she's a demon. In the process of dying, he gets resurrected as a demon.

Warning: you'll see a little bit of tits here and there and it has a lot of fan service.

  • Attack on titan
  • Your lie in April,
